North African Chakchaka, Moroccan Iron Castanets, Gnawa Krakebs
These Chakchakas come from Morocco and are a familiar sound in Gnawa music. They are known by a few other names as well-such as krakeb and karkaba. They are one of North Africa's interpretation of the cymbal.
They are sold as a pair as shown in the first photo, one for each hand.
